Assessors for the 2009 Electra Business Awards
Businesses interested in entering the Awards often like to know who the Assessors are and what their background is - what experience do they have which enables them to come in and discuss your business and how you’re running it?
Six assessors are used to meet with the (up to) 30 finalists. The six assessors in 2010 are:
Kapiti Area Brian Byers Nick Dangerfield Trevor Mckee
Horowhenua Area Chris Ineson Tony Rush Ron Parkin (Chief Assessor)
The Assessors’ Role
- To evaluate the entry forms
- To arrange face to face meetings with the entrants on their list
- To discuss the answers on the entry form with the business and ensure that the information that has been written and provided is accurate and correct
- To view and evaluate supplementary material that wasn’t included with the entry form i.e. if they didn’t want to send their financial information in with their entry
- To complete a scoring sheet for each entrant
- To complete a summary feedback sheet (which will be sent to the business after the Awards)
- If required, to discuss the results and answer questions with the judging panel
Time frame
The assessments will take place from 26 July - 3 September.
